You know, I've never really had a mother or a father. I mean surely I must have, at some point, but it's been so long now that I can't recall.

I don't know why I've been thinking about it so much lately. I've got sisters and brothers and mothers and fathers on the brain lately! It's very curious. Oh, but I've already got a little brother. Does this mean I'm going to have another?

It would be nice, I think. Delicious home-cooked meals and hugs and warm happy feelings all the time. ...Perhaps I'd get sick of it though. It might get a little boring.

Do all you have mothers and fathers? What's it like? I'd love to know.

My mom's uh...busy, a lot, and she doesn't like mud or nonsense.

My dad writes, he lets himself get really tired, and he's really not good at cooking like he thinks he is... but he's the bravest person I know.

Fathers sound like incredible things. Are they all brave, or tired, or not good at cooking?

Getting all her errands done. She's a lot nicer when her to-do list is all crossed off.

No. They must be somewhere in Wonderland though. I'm sure they'll turn up eventually. Maybe in the gardens.

Nah. It's usually boring stuff. Like finishing her editing and getting groceries, unpacking and getting more stamps.

They might have! I don't know if they didn't like gardening, so it's possible. But even if it was impossible, it could still be true! I just think it would be a good place to look for them, or maybe on the beach...
